The order also purports to eliminate certain Federal Advisory Committees related to Medicare and Medicaid, long COVID, community banking, foreign aid, and more, as well as end the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) program. The committees provided the government with expert advice and recommendations for sound policymaking, while the PMF program supplied the federal government with talented early-career civil servants. This order will reduce the positive presence of the United States in the world, rid the federal government of valuable channels of expertise, and stunt its ability to hire early-career professionals.
