Summary
A coalition of educators, veterans, public health professionals, and consumer advocates have sued the Trump administration for the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The plaintiffs allege that the creation of DOGE did not comply with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and overstepped the designated powers of an advisory. On February 18, 2025, this case was consolidated with Public Citizen v. Trump, No. 1:25-cv-166 (D.D.C.), and Lentini v. Department of Government Efficiency, No. 1:25-cv-164 (D.D.C.).
