Summary
An environmental nonprofit has sued the Trump administration for wrongfully withholding Clean Communities Investment Accelerator funds under the Inflation Reduction Act’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). Plaintiff argues that the termination of funds is arbitrary and capricious and not in accordance with federal regulations or the Inflation Reduction Act, in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act. Plaintiff also argues that the termination of funds violates the Appropriations and Due Process Clauses. Finally, Plaintiff brings a breach of contract claim. On April 15, this case was consolidated with other GGRF lawsuits. Updates can be found under Climate United Fund v. Citibank (25-cv-00698).
