Attorneys Jerald Lentini and Joshua Erlich and the National Security Counselors have sued the Trump administration over Executive Order 14158, which established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The plaintiffs alleged that the creation of DOGE did not comply with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and requested that the court halt DOGE's actions until they met the regulations set by FACA. On February 18, 2025, this case was consolidated with American Public Health Association v. Office of Management and Budget and Public Citizen v. Trump.
